Chapter 1: The beginning
Andreea woke up one Wednesday morning thinking it would be like any other boring day of school. She was wrong, dead wrong. She walked down the hall saying hello to her friends and kissing her boyfriend, when she saw him. After her tenth lap of walking around the school she got bored and decided to actually be on time for class. She walked in and sat at her seat looking around the room and seeing who normally was in class first. There were mostly boys and one other girl Aesha who she hated for being so smart. She sat in her desk and waited for the bell to ring while checking Facebook. To her surprise she noticed her birthday was tomorrow. She quickly got her mind set on what she would do when the bell rang. She startled out of her daydream and sat straight looking at the teacher trying to act dignified while everyone stared at her. She looked around the room and noticed that Kevin was missing; she didn’t really pay much more attention to it. She sat through the class for about 45 minutes until she really had to pee. She got her passbook signed and headed to the bathroom. She did her business and walked out. On her way back to the class though she saw Kevin huddled in the corner. She walked over to him to ask him what was wrong. She was about a meter away from him when he jumped up and charged her, she screamed and ran away from him. She caught a glimpse of his face covered in blood and saliva with chunks of meat missing from his face. She screamed even louder and ran for the classroom. She ran in and slammed the door shut. Everybody stared at her while she cried out in fear. One guy Justin asked her what happened but she couldn’t talk. She was rocking back and forth in the fetal position sucking her thumb.
Justin not knowing what had happened went to the door to check outside. That’s how he got bit. He jumped back into the room with Kevin’s teeth clamped firmly on his arm. He flailed around but all that did was cause blood to gush out. Some of the kids in the room fainted; others stared in shock, only two took action. One of them, Brian Miller jumped up and ran outside screaming for his mommy. He was found torn to shreds in a dumpster. The other Nick Everett grabbed his geometry book and bashed Kevin's head in. He stood over Kevin's dead body covered in brain juice and wiped the tears from his eyes. He pulled Justin up but immediately knocked him out. He then went over to Andreea and helped her to her feet.  Everyone stared dumbfounded at what was in front of them. Nick just smiled and said” Zombies you dumbasses. Tie Justin up and help the people that fainted.” Two boys Sheldon and Pierre tied Justin up with their rope from ROTC. Everyone else helped the people who had fainted back into their chairs. Nick helped the teacher onto her chair and took her keys to the room. He locked both doors and covered the windows. Everyone awake stood in a circle in the middle of the room. Nick asked for any ideas but no one gave any. Then Andreea, still standing in the corner, said” we need to get out of here.” No one said anything until Robert offered” hey my sister has a car. I know where she keeps the keys in her locker and I know her combo. Plus her car is a hippie van so we can fit 10 people in it.” Pierre also said he had a ride, a truck, and said he had keys in his locker as well. With a small plan formed all they had to do was wait for the others to wake up. Sadly that’s when Justin decided to wake up. Except he wasn’t truly Justin anymore.
Out of nowhere Justin jumped up and with super human effort he broke the rope. He grabbed Sheldon and bit deeply into his throat spraying blood everywhere. Moving from Sheldon he attacked Michael Gardner who was unconscious. With stunning speed he leaped on the teacher who had just woken up and smashed her head in. while he was dining on the teachers intestines Andreea grabbed a book and rushed at Justin. She jumped on him and bashed his head in like Nick did to Kevin. Then she walked to Michael’s body and bashed his head in. She was too late for Sheldon because Pierre had already ended his friends suffering. Panting she stood there covered in blood as she tried not to cry. She said” let’s wait a few hours until everything goes quiet.” Those where the worst few hours of their life. They sat and listened in dead silence as they heard the screams and moans of almost a thousand people. During that time a group of 5 kids decided to make a run for it. Anastasia, Lauren, Mary, Matt, and another boy ran running for their lives. They didn’t make it 10 meters before they got swarmed; they were pulled down almost instantly and devoured. Of the 20 kids that showed up that day only eleven were still alive. With only eleven people they decide to take Roberts’ sisters’ van. The 11 kids armed with textbooks and golf clubs, they found behind the teacher’s desk, prepared to run for it. Nick opened the door and peeked out. The second he did a super-fast zombie jumped at him. With barely a second thought he brought the golf club to its face. With Sam Eusanio and Robert on point, Pierre on the left, Carlos Mejia on the right, and Nick in the back they made a mad dash for it. Running around the corner they made a beeline to Roberts’ sisters’ locker. Robert hurried with the code but before he was done a horde of zombies appeared. Mad with anger Andreea ran into the horde with Pierre and Carlos not far behind. They quickly made short work of the twenty or so zombies but one of the girls, Jordan, was bitten and they had to put her out of her misery. Robert opened the locker and pulled out the car keys. Practically jumping with joy he gave the car keys to Pierre and they were off. The school was huge and it took them about an hour to walk through its maze to the car. One boy Chandler sprained his knee so Pasleigh and Taylor Edens had to support him. They hurried through the maze and finally were in site of the door to the parking lot.
Then suddenly four doors, 2 behind them and 2 in front, opened and about 40 zombies came out of each. They appeared stuck until Carlos let loose a howl of anger and charged threw the zombies in front of them with berserker strength. He plowed through the zombies only leaving bits of flesh in his wake. He took over 20 bites but continued until he reached the door. With his dying strength he threw the doors open letting light in. Pierre, Sam and Nick cleared out the rest of the zombies in front of them. That’s when the other zombies joined the fight. They rushed forward seeking the kill. Andreea seeing them coming from behind attacked them until she was surrounded. She was an inch from death when Aesha rushed in and helped her. With the extra help Andreea pushed them back but not before they got Aesha. She felt a moment of sorrow for the girl that sacrificed her life to save her. She continued keeping them back until about a hundred more appeared. They attacked with renewed vigor as she was pushed back inch by inch. Right when she was about to fail Nick and Sam appeared golf clubs swinging mowing down zombie after zombie. She was about to join them when Nick turned back and pushed her away saying” go well hold them off for you guys to run. Pierre and Robert are at the van with Taylor and Chandler waiting for you.” Without a warning he picked her up and threw her at Sam telling him to run as well. He then turned back and faced the mass of zombies. That was the last time she saw him alive.

Chapter 2: Escape
Nick ran down the hallway panting. He had fought through the giant mass of zombies and was now running through the hallway. He tried to remember the way out of the school but he was too tired to think straight. Nick looked over his shoulder but couldn’t see anyone or anything.  With a groan he slid down the wall until was sitting down. After a few minutes rest he got up and headed to the bathroom careful of any zombies nearby. Without making a noise Nick crept into the bathroom. After checking all the stalls he stared at himself in the mirror his entire body was covered in scratches and blood. He tried to wash the blood from his shirt but there was too much. After trying for a few more minutes nick walked out of the bathroom into a giant group of zombies. They grabbed him with their slow moving arms but he wacked them away with his golf club. With superhuman strength he crashed through the zombies and made a run for it. He was almost to the bend in the hallway when a group of ten zombies appeared. They were much faster than the other ones and were on him in seconds. He smashed left and right with the golf club until only three were left then the group of slow zombies appeared and grabbed him. He struggled, probably taking about fifteen of them down before he was surrounded by to many of them to move. Then one of the fast zombies appeared and took his golf club. With no defense they grabbed Nick and held him tight. Then everything went black.
Andreea sat in the back of the van with the other survivors. What with Sam and Pierre sitting up front it was only her, Taylor, Robert, and Chandler. No one talked and the only one making a sound was chandler crying in the corner. There was a lot of staring though. What with all the fighting her clothes were a bit ripped and showed a lot of skin. Thus Robert leered at her and she glared at him while Taylor had no idea what was happening. They had been driving for about five hours driving through alleys and dirt roads avoiding the major highways. What with the zombie epidemic the roads more than likely had huge crashes on them. They had travelled about one hundred miles from the school when they decided to stop for the night. They had stopped close to some train tracks and they set up a giant sleeping area with blankets from the back of the van. Robert had no comment when he was asked why they were there. Pierre decided to stay up first and watch for any zombies coming nearby. After a few hours Pierre woke up chandler and he took over. Then Chandler did the same thing with Robert. That’s when things started to get bad. Robert watched and waited until he was sure everyone was asleep when he made his move.
Andreea woke up to a blinding ray of sunshine. She was surprised because she was supposed to do watch after Robert but he hadn’t woken her. With a frown on her face Andreea sat up and looked around. That’s when she saw them. There were hundreds of slow moving zombies shuffling towards them looking for food. With a loud scream she woke up the others.
Sam jolted upright knowing that something was wrong when he awoke. He surveyed the scene instantly seeing the huge legion of undead surrounding them. With one hand he grabbed his golf club and the other he grabbed Andreea. Seeing Pierre do the same with Taylor, Sam looked for Robert and Chandler. He instantly saw Chandler but there was no sight of Robert anywhere. That’s when he noticed the van was missing. With great anger Sam swore that the next time he saw Robert things would get messy. Going back to the matter at hand Sam said “Pierre and Chandler we need to rush through these guys and get to the train tracks. Maybe we’ll find a river or something.” Pierre grinned happily while Chandler only nodded either to shaken to do more or more serious than Pierre. Sam looked to the two girls and said “I’m going to need you guys to get some sticks and cover our back.” Andreea smiled shyly and grabbed the closest two sticks and gave one to Taylor. They got ready with Sam in front and Pierre with Chandler on the sides. When Sam said “Go” they ran for the train tracks. The three boys swung left and right with their golf clubs mauling over thirty zombies by the time they made it to the elevated tracks. They crawled on the tracks until there was enough room to stand without fear of falling. Sam said “Ok we have to move just in case a train or something comes.” They sprinted forward looking back every once in a while to make sure no zombies were following them. Then after walking about an hour, they saw an elevated train stop area. It looked deserted but Sam wasn’t going to take any chances. He told them to stay back while he went to check everything out. He crept towards the door very slowly and without making a sound he opened it to reveal a bloody sight. Sam took one look and started to scream.
Andreea was really hot and tired while she stood quietly watching Sam go forward. She suddenly started to feel her feet vibrate and was curious why. Moving slowly she turned around and saw a train speeding right for them! With stunning speed she pushed everyone off the tracks and onto the station before the train came. With the loud rattle of the train tracks Andreea almost missed Sam’s scream. She looked up and saw a shitload of zombies come out of the room. She saw Sam jump back but her push had knocked Chandler right into the horde. During the split second they stopped to devour Chandler she saw them rip him apart and chew on his flesh. Chandler’s blood covered their shirts and that’s when she noticed they were wearing military uniforms. She helped Taylor and Pierre up and they headed to Sam. Sticks and golf club flying they rushed to their friend’s aid. Andreea ordered Taylor to drag him to the farthest corner where they could keep the zombies back for a while. Most of the horde, finished with chandler’s body, shuffled towards them. One wearing a blue vest was significantly fast catching them before they made it to the corner. Andreea and Pierre worked together and brained the zombie before it could hurt them. They made it to the corner when they heard the sound of the train braking loudly. Without any time to look at the train they fought the zombies keeping them away as best they could. Then about five minutes after the train stopped they heard gun fire and all the zombies dropped dead from headshots. Andreea looked up and there were thirteen men, dressed in the colors of marines, in front of them. The man in the front stuck out his hand and said “Sergeant Chris Jones at your service ma’am.” With a smile she jumped into his arms and hugged him.
Robert sat at the wheel of his sisters van. He yelled at himself for leaving the others but he was better of alone. If they knew that his sisters van had a GPS they would have headed somewhere foolish like a military base. He had a far better idea. He punched in the name of an old food and gun store he had visited when he was little and headed that way. He committed the route to memory in case something happened and started the hour long drive to the store. He drove for about forty-five minutes and was almost to the store when disaster struck. He made a left when a giant truck barreled into him sending him flying. With great strength Robert struggled out of the car. He limped away and only got about fifty feet away before the truck and his van exploded sending him flying into a tree. He grabbed onto a branch and clung to it with all his strength and nearly tore his arm off. With extreme effort Robert pulled himself into the tree where he watched the sparkling fire until he passed out.

Chapter 3: Questions
With great effort Nick opened his eyes surprised he was still alive. He gave a quick survey of the room, looking for a way to escape. His arms and legs were shackled to the wall which meant he was in the school detention room. He peered into the darkness where he could see shadows moving back and forth. Then he looked to is immediate left and saw a long line of people chained like him. He pulled on the shackles and screamed. After a moment a small girl came forward with a cup of water. Noticing for the first time how thirsty he was he drank it greedily. When he was done he pleaded with the girl begging her to free him. All she said was “You safer chained.” Nick pulled on the shackles with all of his strength but he couldn’t budge them. After about four hours the girl came back with more water and he pleaded again. She ignored him and moved to his left where she gave another man water. He waited and after a few hours the girl came again but this time flanked by 4 giant men. They lumbered slowly and methodically behind her. They stopped right in front of him. The last thing he saw was a fist in his face.
Nick woke up again but this time with a huge headache. He moved his hands to scratch his head but he was chained again. With slow movement he looked around the room and saw that instead of the detention center he was in the interrogation room. Suddenly a door opened and two of his friends, Daniel and Wesley, walked in. this time they were the ones flanked by the giant brutes. Daniel and Wesley took a seat and stared at night for a moment until Wesley started speaking “I know you have many questions Nick and I’m going to tell you now, we have many answers but not all of them. The biggest question you must have is: why you’re here? I can answer this by telling you of all the students that tried to escape from us your group was the only successful one. Then you evaded capture for many hours and it took my ten best men to capture you and you still killed many of them.” Nick started to speak when Wesley cut him off with a glare. “Next question: What is us? Us is what you call zombies while we prefer the term The Evolved. I was the first person in the school to be turned into a “zombie” I ate my family and there blood and flesh gave me strength and clarity. I was able to gain some of my intellect back. I walked to school and attacked the first person I saw which happened to be Daniel here.” He motioned to Daniel. “Then I gained almost all of my reasoning back and came up with a plan. I used Daniel's body to eat a few more people and with every person I grew stronger. Then Daniel awoke and he joined me in my feast. We took over most of the school and with every person we got more soldiers and power. We almost had all the school until your group escaped from us. I had sent a few of my slightly strong men to capture you yet you defeated them all. We weren’t even able to capture anyone else because they struggled too much that they had to be eaten. After your friends left I personally chased you and led the attack on you.” Nick just stared at Wesley unbelieving. Then Wesley started again “Now on to the last and most mysterious question: Why is this happening? That is the biggest question and the one I have no answer to.” Nick after composing himself said “You still haven’t answered the first question yet Wesley.” Wesley looked thoughtful and said “Really? I thought I had. Well then why you are here is so I can ask you one thing. Will you willingly join me and The Evolved?” There was a few minutes of silence and then Nick spat in Wesley's face. Wiping the spit off Wesley said “Oh dear. Seems like we’ll have to do this the hard way. Paul crank him up.” One of the brutes walked to the wall and started to turn a crank. Nick was suddenly lifted up higher into the room with his arms in the air. He looked down and noticed a blood stained tub that was under his chair. Wesley stands up and walks towards Nick with a sharp knife in his hand. “Nick it’s your last chance to do this willingly.” Again Nick spat in his face. Yelling in anger Wesley slices Nick’s chest open letting his blood spill into the tub. Then Wesley ribs a chunk of meet from his chest and eats it. With a final glare Wesley turns and heads out the door followed by the brutes and Daniel. Nick hung there on the chains watching his blood flow into the tub with a splash until he fell into unconsciousness.
Nick couldn’t remember anything the only feeling he had was hunger and the room was full of tubs. He went into a frenzy drinking all the blood in the room until finally he regained his mind. Then he thought: what have I become.
Andreea was in a room with Sam, Pierre, and Taylor. After the marines had rescued them from the horde they had been carried into the train as fast as possible. There the medics had taken care of Sam and made sure he wasn’t infected. Then all the others were tested to see if they were infected. After a thorough inspection the doctors had diagnosed them as uninfected. It took them a while but they were all finally safe. Threw the door into a room walked a man that emanated authority. He sat down and said “I am Lieutenant Colonel Jake Howard with the Military Intelligence Division.  It has come to my attention that you are the smallest group of nonmilitary personal who have survived against these monsters with minimal loss. So far we’ve only picked up groups of one or two people and they are all generally military trained. Now please I would love to hear how you survived.” They all quickly related there brush in with the zombies at their school and how they escaped with six out of eleven people but lost two on the way there. The Lieutenant listened nodding in some areas and gaping in others. After the tail was over the lieutenant said “So you want me to believe that of eleven people that tried to escape from a zombie infested school you managed to escape with six people! That’s almost impossible to believe even with military experience.” Sam said “I’m sorry sir but we never would have escaped without our friends sacrificing their lives to save us.” “That young man is entirely true. Thank you for the enticing story I will leave you with captain Williams.” The lieutenant left and I walked a short bald man who introduced himself as Captain Williams. “Since you have already fought and defeated many of the zombies we will be attaching you to Sergeant Jones. He will be in charge of teaching you how to shoot and other necessities of this new age. You are dismissed. I will have corporal Locks escort you to the sergeant. Andreea and the group stepped out and followed a big brawny man to a large area filled with beds and a table. “Here you are kids. The sarge is that way.” Locks said pointing to the left corner. Sam led the group over to Jones who was yelling at a foolish private that forgot to make his bed. They stood waiting for him to finish and when he was done he looked up at them and smiled. “Well look at this it’s the kids we saved earlier. Why don’t we properly welcome them this time marines!” “Sir Yes Sir!” they thirteen men in the squad came and shook all their hands. After the pleasantries were over Jones took them to a side table and talked to them. “Ok you guys are going to each take one of the extra bunks and that’s where you'll stay. Once you pick your bunk a bag of clothes will be placed there shortly afterward. Then were going to go to the rifle range at the back of the train and see how good you girls are!” With a big grin he took them to the empty bunks and let them pick. They picked there bunks and got the bags. While she was towing away her gear Andreea heard two privates talking to each other. “Yo bro there is some spooky shit going on out there. When I was in the com room the pentagon sent a message that said “code E keep com silence”. Then when I showed it to old man Howard he turned white as a ghost. Then shortly afterward we met our first zombie.” “Turner stop saying shit that’s not true and just be quiet.” “No man I’m serious there is some crazy ass shit going on.” Andreea cut in and said “hey what are you guys talking about.” The one who started the conversation, Turner, was quiet and didn’t say anything. Then his friend said “Turner here says he got a weird message from the pentagon right before the shit hit the fan.” Turner just glared at his friend and said nothing. Shrugging Andreea went back to putting away her stuff and forgot about the conversation. Once she was done putting away her things she met Sergeant Jones and the other getting ready to go to the firing range.
Robert woke up with intense pain all over his body. When he moved he almost fell of the tree branch he had slept on last night. With aches and pains hitting him every second Robert slowly lowered himself to the ground. He surveyed the situation and saw that he was about ten miles from the shop he had been heading towards. While he was limping towards the road he found a sharp metal pole and grabbed it for a weapon. He walked for eleven hours until he finally had the store in his sight. To his pure delight he saw that the store was completely intact without a scratch. He gathered all his strength and ran to the store with a big grin on his face until he saw the barricade in front of the door. He stopped about thirty feet from the door with a frown on his face. He was about to turn back when he saw a movement threw a window. He walked up to the wooden barricade and smacked it with all of his might crying for someone to let him in. After a few moments a slit in the barricade opened and he could see a pair of eyes. “What do you want kid?” came an agitated voice. “Please let me in I have nowhere else to go!” Robert pleaded. The slit closed and Robert heard muffled voices threw the wood. It sounded like there were a few different voices but he wasn’t sure. Then the slit opened again and Robert heard “Don’t move.”  Then will a creeping slowness the barricade started to move sideways. When he was certain that there was enough room for him to squeeze through, Robert walked into the room. Then he felt a thump on his head and heard “I told you not to fucking move kid.”

Chapter 4: Preparations
Nick stared at the ceiling. He couldn’t believe that he had become the thing he hated. It took almost all of his strength not to commit suicide but if he did, it would be counterproductive. When he first regained enough of his mind to think, he had screamed for over an hour without hurting himself. Then he had finally calmed down and begun to think. He couldn’t remember that much so he had unhappily ate the rest of the blood and flesh. After finishing his fifth tub he had decided that he’d had enough. With most of his memories back he had formed a plan. He would gradually gain enough strength until he could beat Wesley for supremacy. Thus he had decided to finish the rest of the tubs and wait.
After about a day had passed Nick had started to feel really hungry.  Then the big brute Paul appeared with another tub and set it down. With a grunt Paul said “Eat.” Then he left without another word. Nick ate the “food” and lay on his back again. After about an hour the door opened again and this time Daniel stood there stone faced and flanked by three brutes. Nick stared at Daniel for a few moments trying to understand a strange power he felt emanating from him. Then Daniel spoke and Nick froze in place. “Come with me.” Nick felt such power in his voice that he couldn’t do anything but obey. With slow methodical steps he followed Daniel out of the room. Daniel led him to a large room with a giant table that already had six men sitting in it. He recognized only one of the people as Ken Butler from one of his classes. Then he looked at Wesley and he felt such power he fell to his knees. Wesley had such power that it hurt to look at him. His body shone so radiant it almost blocked out the sun. That didn’t stop Nick from staring right at him though. Wesley barely glanced at him then said “Daniel please seat Nick down for me so we may begin the meeting.” Daniel dragged Nick over to one of the two empty chairs and chained him to two cinderblocks next to the chair. Then Daniel himself took the chair next to him and sat patiently watching the meeting. Nick tried to pay attention to everything that was going on but Wesley's aura was to bright the only thing he could do was listen to Wesley's speech. “According to high command in Canada we are the strongest force of Evolved in the state of North Carolina, making us one of the biggest groups in the country. We have over fifty thousand warriors under our command and over fifty cities under our control. After we fully takeover all of the cities we will have almost a million warriors with us. If we can take out all of the military bases and steal their weapons we will be a formidable force. I suggest that we attack camp Lejeune as quickly as possible if we could attack before a resupply train we found arrives we will be able to take the base and the train. Are there any questions?” Only one person had a question. He was the size of a small boy and had a very dim aura. Nick was unable to tell anything else about the boy because of all the shining auras around him. “What do you wish the five thousand workers to do? They are only little children from the lower grades.” “Why” Wesley said “we can use them as cannon fodder until our warriors get in range. We don’t need them until after the battle and when it’s over we will replenish our ranks.” With that Wesley dismissed all the people except Daniel and the brutes. Wesley turned to Nick and said “What do you think about my plan Nick?” Nick thought for a moment before answering and said “It’s a good idea but if you’re in the middle of the fight, and the supply train arrives you’re screwed.” “Oh? Why is that?” “Well even if it’s just a supply train, there are going to be some very heavily armed guards on it and if your trap isn’t ready by the time they get there, they would mop the floor with your men.” Wesley contemplated over this for a moment and then asked the question Nick had been waiting for. “Would you, Nick, like to join me in my quest for world domination? Without you I would stand no chance of reaching my goal. By my side you could have any country in the world be yours. All you have to do is say yes.” Nick thought for a few silent moments then said “I’m not sure I’m up to it. Give me one good reason why I would be better than any of your other followers.” Wesley sighed then said “If you want to know why I decide to make you one of us I will show you.” With that Wesley pushed a button in front of him and a screen popped out of the wall showing a video. The video showed two twin brothers wearing some type of military uniform. Everything was quiet for a moment then the video started. “I am supreme commander Croft of the Evolved.” “I am Grand Admiral Oaks of the Evolved.” “This is a message to all commanders out in the field. If you find any suspicious humans that seem far superior to others of their kind you are to capture them at all costs and integrate them into your people. These people range from mild to extreme power and are very important. We believe that like us these humans have gained power from killing but instead of killing humans they kill our kind. We ourselves have captured a few extremely powerful specimens and they appear to be tactical geniuses. If they reach there people we might possibly face a strong resistance. Continue as normal but remain on the lookout for these men.” Then the video ended and the screen disappeared. “Now do you see,” Wesley said “we need you and your special abilities to take over the world. With you at my side I will be able to grow so powerful that I can defeat Canadian high command. So I ask again will you join me in my quest of world domination?” Nick said “Of course I will”
Wesley led Nick down a hallway to a freezer room. Inside would be there ace in the hole. The only chance they had of Nick gaining great power. The idea had been Wesley's and he had taken it into effect at their first meeting. They stepped inside the freezer room were a tub of warm blood and flesh sat. With a purposeful stride Nick walked over to the tub and started eating. It was the best thing he had ever had. “Who knew your own blood tasted so good.” was his only thought as he enjoyed the feast.
Andreea was at the firing range with Sam, Pierre, and Taylor. They had been practicing with the M4 carbine for the past two days and they were so good they could out shoot almost everyone in the squad. When Sergeant Jones first saw them shoot their M4’s he couldn’t believe it. They were almost as good as his squad. He had shown even more amazement when they told him they had never used one before. He had been so shocked he almost called the lieutenant colonel but then he decided against it. They were about a day away from Camp Lejeune, there next major stop. Andreea stopped her daydreaming and went back to firing her gun. It came so naturally to her that it was almost unnerving. She had talked to the other three about it and they felt the same way. She wondered again about it but she shoved it from her head. As long as it gave her an edge in their fight for survival she would take it. When they got to Camp Lejeune they would be a support squad in case something happened to first and second platoon. Their job was to provide cover fire if a giant group of zombies attacked the platoons. They didn’t have enough room to practice military tactics like that but they still knew how to shoot and it was unlikely the camp had been overrun. There were about one hundred and eighty thousand military personnel there the last time someone counted. With those numbers it was almost impossible they would be overrun. With their trains help the people of Camp Lejeune would be able to last a long time without any fear of death. Yet still Andreea had a feeling of great dread about the mission.
Sam looked at the ceiling across from his bunk. He, like Andreea, was thinking about things. Inside his mind he thought over all the horrible things he would do to Robert when he saw him. If Robert hadn't left then Chandler would probably still be alive right now. He had made fast friends with Private Turner and they usually shot together after everyone else was done to see who was better. Surprisingly during their first competition, Sam had almost beaten Turner. Then all the other times they faced off against each other Sam won. To Sam this predicament was strange. He had never been good with guns but now he shot like a pro. It was all just too weird for him, so he decided to take a stroll through the train. He was walking near the engineering area when he saw a door was ajar. He walked over to check what was going on. When he walked in he saw a man slumped over a computer screen chatting with someone. The slumped man said “Lord Wesley I have prepared for the attack and I will be ready for more instructions.” The man started to turn around and Sam, sensing being seen would be a bad idea, jumped out of sight. Sam stood by the door for a bit and waited for the man to leave. Once the man was down the hallway Sam slipped into the room and looked around. He was surprised to see that nothing was out of the ordinary. Grumbling to himself about his paranoia, he continued his stroll.
Robert woke up tied to a chair in a dark room. He tried to see what was around him but the only light came through small cracks in a door to his right. He sat there in the chair for about thirty minutes. Then blissfully the door opened and someone came in. What with the bright light he was unable to see what the person looked like. He was about to speak when the door was closed and an even brighter light turned on above him. Robert withered in pain until he almost screamed. Then he heard a voice “Whoa are you and why did you come here?” Weakly Robert answered “My names Robert Strathman and I was looking for a place to hide from the zombies.” “How do we know you’re telling the truth to us?” said the voice. “We’ve been listening to the radio and apparently the zombies can talk and act like people.” Stunned Robert had no idea what to say. His group of friends hadn’t heard about that when they were in the van. It seemed that some people must have figured this out in the first few hours of the invasion. “I had no idea that that was possible” said Robert. “Well since we can’t be sure of whether or not you’re a zombie it seems that were going to have to kill you!” said the voice. Suddenly he felt a large blade on his throat and it slightly cut his skin. He could see his blood drip onto the knife. Right when he was about to scream bloody murder the regular lights came back on and the knife disappeared. In front of him was a girl laughing. “Good to see you survived so far Robert. We knew you weren’t a zombie the whole time. Tell me though how did you get out of that death trap of a school?” That’s when Robert saw that she was Alexis Anderson, a girl that went to his school.

Chapter 5: Attack
Nick looked intently at the map of Camp Lejeune. In the war room with him was Wesley and Daniel. Without saying a word he switched from a map of the camp to a schematic of the train. The train was an experimental X-train that had a prototype of almost every top secret military weapon. Inside the train there were two companies of marines and an unknown number of engineers and military intelligence officers. With their inside man they knew that lieutenant colonel Jake Howard was in charge of the train. The train was expected to reach the Camp in six hours. With the two companies of marines they could turn the tide of the fight into the marines favor so; Nick planned to attack within the hour. He looked towards Wesley and was relieved that Wesley's aura was no longer brighter than his. With his newfound strength he could easily defeat Daniel or possibly Wesley himself. It was only with great self-control that he didn’t destroy either of them right then and there. If he killed Wesley then all of his minions would do everything to destroy him and he didn’t believe he had enough power to stop them all. With a half-smile he returned to the map and made his plan.
Nick called together Wesley's Board of directors. There were six of them in all, Ken Butler was a lieutenant in charge of Wesley’s first battalion of ten thousand men, then there was Jeremy Roberts in charge of second battalion, George Lumen with third battalion, Phillip Taylor with fourth battalion, Darius Jackson with fifth battalion, and finally Timothy Blake the small boy in charge of the workers. With all of them together Nick gave then his plan. With the help of many spies in the camp they would sneak in a few men and they would open the gates for the army.
With seven hours left until they were needed to cover first and second platoons, Andreea and the squad lounged around there bunks playing cards and chatting. Andreea herself was in the middle of an intense game of black jack for rations. There were several candy bars and a pot of coffee for the winner. She patiently waited for her turn and when it was time she got a card. She flipped it over and got the ace of spades. Looking down at her other cars she saw she had the king and queen of spades as well. Barely containing her grin she waited for the other players to flip their cards. She was about to flip her cards over to show her winning and when Sergeant Jones burst into the room telling everyone to suit up. Sulking over her near win Andreea quickly put on her armor and grabbed her weapon.
Sam walked down the hallway of the train with Private Turner. They were coming back from another run at the firing range when the red alert was called. Happy that the fighting was about to start, Sam started to run down the hallway. Just when he was about to slow down he ran into a man in an engineer uniform. He helped the man up and was about to say sorry when he recognized the man. It was the man in the room talking to someone named Lord Wesley. “Hey man I’ve seen you before,” Started Sam “you were in a dark room talking to someone about being ready for an attack or something.” Staring at Sam ghost faced the man jumped up and ran away without saying another word. He was right about to chase the man down when Turner appeared. Sam waited for his friend and started to tell him what he saw when the train came to a sudden stop, throwing him across the car.
Robert sat in the employee lounge of the store with Alexis and the other survivors. There where twenty of them and almost all of them where from his school. According to Alexis they had been on a school bus late for school when the shit hit the fan. They had gotten into a car accident and many of the students were stuck in the bus, while the others escaped. Then with the help of a few other survivors the group had found its way here to the gun shop. In the room he only recognized two other students from the school, Rony Elizee and Neshad Potts. The rest of the people were new to him. With the students from his school there were four adults. Two of them were employees at the store and had let the group in. The other two were a married couple that had helped the kids escape from the zombies. When Alexis had finished with her tale, Robert told them his. He told them how his group had escaped from the school with six people but then they had stopped to rest. He then lied to them and said that they were attacked and he had been separated from his group so he had taken the car and run. Then he had gotten into a car crash and was stuck in a tree the whole night. He finally finished with how he had walked the rest of the way to the store. A few of the people nodded their head at his story while most of them stared at him in disbelief. When everyone had composed themselves, Rony said “You want us to believe that you escaped a school full of, got away from an attack in the forest by the zombies, and then survived a car crash with only a hurt leg? With all of those things you should have been dead a long time ago.” Shocked at Rony’s bluntness Robert began “Well my friend stranger things have happened in this world. Look at the zombies for example. They should not be here but yet they are. It must have been the will of God for me to live so I could reach this place and help you. With my increased knowledge of the zombie due to my fighting, I can tell you many of their weaknesses. I could be the thing that keeps us all alive my friends.” Alexis then came forward and said “Please Robert, tell us how we can destroy these monsters that plaque the earth!”  With a yell they all begged Robert to share his wisdom with them. With a smile Robert started to tell them everything he knew about killing a zombie.
Once his speech was complete Robert returned to his room where Alexis was waiting for him. His room was just a bed and a chair in a slightly oversized closet. Robert stared at Alexis for a few moments and she stared to. Then Alexis said “thank you Robert for your help. If you hadn’t come and given everyone here some hope we probably would have died.” Robert a little taken aback by this comment said “It was no problem. I need help to stay alive and this was the only place I could think of that might help me. Now that I'm here I’m making a plan.”   “Oh really?” said Alexis “What would that plan be?” With a smug smile Robert reflected on how his luck was finally turning. Then he told his idea of going to a nearby air force base so they could get airlifted to a Navy boat.
John Westin a member of Lord Wesley’s secret commandoes lay prone in the sand with nine other of his brethren. They had each slipped into camp Lejeune one by one and had waited for the signal to attack. Three other groups were also waiting to attack one of the four gates, which pointed in the four cardinal directions. Just then John’s com-link blinked and he ordered his group to attack. With calm procession John and his men charged the gate taking the guards by complete surprise.
Sergeant Dominic Wise was in Camp Lejeune’s northern gate control room chatting with Private Dill, when Dill’s head blew off. Stunned the sergeant took cover and looked over the gate. To his surprise, there was no one on the other side of the wall. He jumped back down and took out his radio. “This is Sergeant Wise. We are under attack; I repeat we are under attack! Code red! Code red!” Then a figure covered in black rushed through the door. The sergeant tried to get up and fire at the figure but it was just too fast. With his dying breath Sergeant Wise pulled the pin on a grenade.
John Westin seeing the grenade kicked it with his foot sending it out into the silent night where it made a giant bang. After checking the room for any other men he quickly moved to the gate controls and opened the gate.
Lieutenant Butler, seeing the northern gate open radioed Lord Wesley and General Everett. “Sirs the Gates are opening.” Almost instantly General Everett called back saying “Attack now!” With great joy Lieutenant Butler sent first Battalion forward to attack. All around him his fellow evolved grabbed their weapons and charged forward into the gate. Thus the battle for Camp Lejeune began.

Chapter 6: Camp Lejeune
Nick watched the battle begin from a hill directly north of the camp. Looking at the map of the camp in his tent he made a mental note of all his men’s movements. All of the battalions, except for Jackson’s, were in the camp heading towards the barracks. Almost all of his hunter killer teams had killed the officers. According to the radio only one man remained and that was Colonel Jake Rodriguez. He was currently gathering all of the men he could to the train station and creating a blockade. He shot anything that moved towards his area and he had already killed three hundred of the lesser evolved. With careful planning Nick knew he could take the station but there was always the possibility that the train could get there before he did. He was so focused on the problem of Colonel Rodriguez that he almost missed the message sent to his com-link. He quickly picked it up and read the message. “General Everett I would like to report that I have successfully sabotaged the train and it should be stuck in position for at least thirty minutes up to an hour.” With a smile Nick put the com-link down and turned back to the map. With this new situation he could forget about the colonel for a few minutes and focus on taking out the barracks.  
Lieutenant Phillip Taylor led his battalion toward the armory. Once his men captured the armory he would be able to lead them anywhere and they would have enough power to blow up the building. One of his sergeants made it to the door with fifty of the lesser evolved when the door blew up killing all of them. Taylor just glared at the building. It seemed that this place would be a hard nut to crack indeed. Begrudgingly he called the commando unit for some help.
John Westin and his men walked through the sewers under the armory. They had been the unlucky group of commandoes given the job of infiltrating the armory. He quickly jogged over to a ladder that led to the bowels of the armory. He climbed the ladder and his team followed.
Sergeant Wilson smugly watched the video of the enemy blowing up for the fiftieth time. He couldn’t believe that he had been lucky enough to get stuck in the armory when they attacked. When the red alert had gone out he had quickly ordered the group of privates with him to rig C4 through the entire building. If the enemy even came close to his location he could blow them all to smithereens. Since he was so absorbed in his glee he didn’t notice when one of the video screens went blank.
John Westin ran down the hallway with his team to the command center. They had already shot several young soldiers with sleep bullets and were likely to meet more. He quickly turned the corner and ran into a squad of marines. He crouched down and shot the men at point blank range with his sleep bullets. They all almost instantly fell to the floor unconscious. Standing from his crouched position he located the door to the command room and walked towards it.
Sergeant Wilson was still watching the video when he heard gunfire outside his room. Taking his eyes from the TV he finally noticed all the blank screens. Shocked he pulled out his gun and pointed it at the door. He had pointed it just in time, the door flew open and a black shadow ran in. Wilson cursed and fired all twelve bullets in his pistol. The figure was so fast that only one bullet hit it. Unfazed it continued towards him. “Please don’t kill me!” he pleaded. “I’ll do anything you want!” The figure stared at him then said “Turn off all of the explosives.” Wilson quickly complied and when he was done he said “See, I did what you asked. Will you let me go now?” The figure stood stone still and then jumped at Wilson ripping of his flesh.
After he had finished eating the foolish sergeant, John told Lieutenant Taylor that the defenses were off.
Lieutenant Taylor, getting the message sent his men in to take the armory. They rushed forward ready to devour anything they met. Sending his congratulations to commando Westin, he returned to his mission of taking the armory.
Andreea picked herself up from the floor. With the sudden stop of the train they had been thrown across the room. She saw Pierre and Taylor getting up off the floor with minor scrapes. She continued to look around and saw that some of the squad was not even in the room. Sam and Private Turner were missing from the room. She located the sergeant helping some of the badly wounded squad members up. Andreea ran to the sergeant and asked “Sir what happened?” According to the lieutenant colonel we were sabotaged and the engineers are doing their best to fix it. It will take us about an extra thirty minutes to get to the Camp now.” answered Jones. Andreea was about to yell at the sergeant when the train suddenly started to move again.
After he and Turner had been thrown across the train, Sam had called the engineers to tell them about what had happened. They had immediately sped for his position. When he had shown them the room they had checked it as quickly as possible. During their search they found a series of wires crossed that shouldn’t have been.  With quick precision they had fixed the problem and restarted the train. When they left they had congratulated Sam and told him that, with ought him, it would have taken them over an hour to find the problem. With more spark in his step Sam led Turner back to the squad. They only had five and a half hours to prepare for the mission.
Nick was still on the hill running the attack. All of the battalions had completed their missions, capturing thousands of marines and turning many more into Evolved. Now it was time for him to create a plan to draw the colonel out. He called Timothy Blake over to him and told him his plan.
Colonel Jake Rodriguez was sitting behind the bullet proof window of his makeshift command center when the radio turned on. “Sir,” said a young private “we have a very big problem coming our way.” Exasperated the colonel what could be so bad. “Tell me Private,” he said “what’s the problem.” Well Sir,” began the private “A mob of none zombie woman and children are headed for our direction. Plus to make things worse there appears to be a few zombies spread out in the group of women and children, sir.” The colonel just stared at the wall for a few minutes thinking. If he let the people through the zombies in there mass would slaughter his men but; if he killed all of the women and children his men might turn on him and run away. He contemplated over this dilemma and came up to the conclusion that whoever he was up against was a true military genius. Speaking to the private he said “Open fire on anything that moves.” It took a full minute before the private responded with “Yes sir!” All around him, the Colonel heard the sound of heavy machine guns fire into the mob of people. He sat alone in his command center weeping for all the souls he had condemned to hell.
Nick wasn’t surprised when he was told the marines were firing at the women and children. He had expected the colonel to do the smart thing and fire into the crowd. What did surprise him though, was the fact none of the commandoes seeded into the mob had been hit. The marines had such horrible aim that only a few hundred of the women and children were dead. Then suddenly several hidden mines blew blowing up two commandoes and over a hundred people with them. As the mob progressed forward more mines exploded but this time there were no commando casualties. Nick continued to watch as the men half-heartedly shot at the mob. When the mob was only fifty feet away from them was when they started to truly shoot. Watching through a camera, Nick saw that very few of the bullets hit body parts. Almost every bullet hit the head of the person they were aimed at. By the time the mob made it too the machine gun nests five more commandoes were killed. Once the commandoes made it to the nests they came together and attacked.
Robert was again in the room with the other survivors. This time though instead of telling them his story of escape, he was telling them his plan for survival. “I believe if we head for Seymour Johnson AFB we can get a ride to one of the navy ships on the area. The possibility that one of those ships being overrun is close to impossible. Once were on the ship we will be surrounded by highly trained military personnel. That will give us a greater chance of surviving this catastrophe.” Alexis then stepped in and said “If we go with Robert’s plan and the ships compromised we could always stay in the air force base. This gives us an even bigger chance of survival.” Rony stepped forward and said “What do we do though if the air force base itself is overrun? Do we head back here or try a different on?” Robert came in and, raising his hands, said “If god wills us to make it to the ship then by any means we will make it there!” The other people nodded their agreement and they decided to set off in an hour.
John Westin had lost two of his squad by the time they made it to the machine gun nests. He checked that all the surviving members of his squad were accounted for and then they attacked. The mob of people behind them broke off to make room for the conventional warriors following them. The commandoes used their sleep bullets to make anyone they met on the way to the command center unconscious. John, leading his men, turned a corner and spotted the command center down the hall. With his men behind him he rolled into the room and jumped to his feet. In front of him was a handcuffed Colonel Rodriguez sitting alone in the room. John was too surprised to say anything until the Colonel spoke. “I surrender; please take me to your leader. I wish to see the man who conquered my camp so easily.” The X-train Bangladesh was only thirty minutes away when Colonel Rodriguez surrendered. Thus the battle for Camp Lejeune ended and the battle for the X-train Bangladesh began.

Chapter 7: The X-train Bangladesh
Robert was in the passenger seat of a hummer on his way to the air force base. With him were Alexis and eight of the other survivors. In the pickup truck besides them, Neshad and Rony were in the front seat driving. After Robert had told the group of his plan to travel to the Seymour Johnson AFB, they had immediately prepared to go. According to the map that Robert had, the group was about half an hour away from the base. Robert was beside himself with joy. If he hadn’t met this group of survivors he probably would have died. Not to mention he was also making up for leaving his old friends behind, by keeping his new ones alive. With all of this going through his head, he almost missed the bus hurtling towards them. He looked to the driver and it seemed they hadn’t noticed the bus. With great urgency he twisted the wheel so they missed the bus. He wasn’t able to tell Rony about the bus though, so almost instantly after he passed the bus the truck rammed bus head on. Robert immediately pushed the driver out of the way and turned the hummer around. When the car was close to the wreck he ordered everyone out to help the wounded. He surveyed the scene and saw that may people were struggling out of the bus. He was about to tell his followers to also help the others when he noticed that they were zombies. Grabbing a gun he called out “Shoot them! Their zombies so aim for the head.” Almost immediately after he gave the order, a group of zombies dragged one of his followers down. Putting his gun to his shoulder, Robert shot each of the zombies in the head and continued forward. Behind him were Alexis and Rony, who seemed mostly unhurt. The trio ran forward shooting any zombie they saw. When the fighting was over, Robert called role. They had apparently lost eleven people due to either the crash or the zombie attack. Covered in blood and guts, Robert told everyone to get in the hummer. They immediately did what he said and they continued on their journey.
Roughly half an hour later, the air force base was in sight. Robert slowly stopped the hummer in front of the eastern gate. Almost immediately Robert heard a voice from a speaker “Who are you and what do you want?” Robert replied with “We are a group of survivors and we need an air lift to the nearest Navy ship.” The door suddenly opened and Robert drove in. Inside of the base there were twelve heavy machine guns aimed at his hummer. “Come out of the car one at a time and walk slowly to the man in front of you.” said a voice. Then a man walked out of the barricade and motioned for them to come forward. Robert and his followers slowly got out of the car and walked towards the man. Once they got close to the man, he grabbed their hand and took a sample of their blood with a machine. When the man was done doing this to the whole group he motioned with his hand and said “There clean sir.” Then a giant man came forward and shook Roberts hand and said “You are on lucky SOB! Were the last guys in the base and were leaving to the USS crusader in an hour.” With a smile Robert hugged the man and said “Thank you.”
Nick sat in Colonel Rodriguez’s old command center. In his hand he had the after action report from his lieutenants. According to them the army had lost about fifty percent of its warriors. On a better note though, they had captured almost one hundred thousand marines, effectively doubling the amount of warriors they had. Not to mention, colonel Rodriguez had surrendered himself to the Evolved.  With his wealth of military logic, Nick planned to learn many of the secrets of his new base. The only problem was the X-train Bangladesh. The train was an hour ahead of schedule and would reach the station in ten minutes. While looking at a schematic of the trains twenty sections, that he would go for a quick and decisive surprise attack. Also he himself wanted to capture the Bangladesh’s captain, Lieutenant Colonel Jake Howard. With a smile on his lips he contacted his lieutenants and told them his plan.
John Westin and his squad were surprised when there orders came. The order to attack the train the moment it got there was no surprise, the shock came in a personal message. Apparently the general wanted to accompany them. Once he told the rest of his remaining squad mates the order, the general appeared. The general was so imposing that it hurt to look at him. John’s squad was prepped and ready to go, so he called the general over. The general moved so quickly to his position that it seemed like he didn’t move. With a chill running down his spine John said “Sir the train will be here in three minutes we are ready and waiting for your signal.” The general just smiled and nodded at John.
Andreea waited in the transport section of the train with her squad, five members had been so badly injured they were stuck in the med bay. Beside her Sam and Pierre silently waited for the door to open. Her squad was at the back of the area behind first and second platoon. Once the train stopped, they would provide covering fire for the other two platoons. With a sigh Andreea clutched her M4 and waited for the minute mark.
Sam was chatting with Turner and Pierre when the minute mark was announced. He brought his M4 to bear and waited for the go signal to come.
Nick watched as the train came to a screeching halt. Going over the schematics of the train in his head, he noted that the section directly in front of him was the transportation section. He waited a few seconds before giving the attack order to watch the enemy; their first group came out with quick precision and checked the area.  He waited until he heard them give the rest of their men the all clear before he ordered his men to attack. He watched as his first wave of commandoes attacked before he joined the melee.
 Andreea and her squad watched as first platoon send out a squad to check the area. When they gave the all clear signal, the rest of the platoon and second platoon marched out. That’s when the shit hit the fan. Her squad stood there and watched as over a thousand zombies charged first and second platoon. Almost all of them were gone in a minute; the rest just turned around and ran for the train. Andreea immediately put her M4 to her shoulder and gave suppressing fire for the remaining members of first and second platoon. While she was shooting, she watched the zombies over power all but one squad from the platoons. The squad mad it through the door and attempted to close it. The door was almost closed when a few zombies got through.
Sam saw the group of zombies that got through the door and shot at them. He hit a few but the rest ducked for cover. Running forward, Sam charged into the group of zombies with Turner and Pierre by his side. He shot left and right shooting about ten zombies, when one of them suddenly opened the door letting a huge flood of zombies come in. Sam was about to continue his charge, when Sergeant Jones pulled him back and dragged him away.
Andreea saw Sergeant Jones save Sam and opened the door to the hallway. Leading her platoon, she ran around the corner to the next section of the train. She pulled out her radio and said “Help the train has been overrun we need immediate assistance to protect the train.” When she got to the end of the hall she stopped the squad so they could regroup. Once Sergeant Jones caught up with the group he gave them their orders. “We are going to have to split up. Two fire teams are going to be sent to the medical section in the back of the train. The rest of the squad will come with me to the front of the train to protect the command center and engineering. Everyone understands?” There was a chorus of “Sir, yes, Sir!”  the two chosen fire teams sped off to med bay to protect the sick. Andreea, Sam, Pierre, and Taylor went with Sergeant Jones to protect the colonel.
Nick strolled into the X-train Bangladesh ready for a fight. What he saw though was a completely different scene. The transportation section was a bloodbath. Nothing remained of the squad that had made it into the train and tried to close it. The only reason that his men hadn’t made it to the rest of the train was because the doors had been welded shut. When he had first heard this, he had immediately ordered his men to blow the doors with C4. It took them five minutes to bring the C4 and they were only just about to start blowing the doors. He watched as they finally finished and his men ran forward.
John Westin and his squad had orders to take the back sections of the train. He and his men went from room to room searching for any humans in the area. After checking their fifth room they finally found someone and put them to sleep. Continuing on their course they got to the medical section.
When John had opened the door to the medical section he had almost been torn to shreds by a storm of bullets. If it weren’t for his lightning fast reflexes he would have been torn to shreds, his squad mate behind him wasn’t as lucky though. After the storm of bullets had calmed down, John rolled into the room and started to shoot. Everything around him started to move slowly as he shot his gun at the marines in the hallway. They went down so quickly that his squad had barely started shooting when it was over. Looking around the hallway John continued his search for survivors.
Nick led his men to the command center. Inside he hoped to find the lieutenant colonel. He didn’t stop walking towards the command center, if he saw someone shooting at him he dodged the bullets so fat it seemed like he didn’t move. Then he finally made it to the section right before the command center.
Andreea and the remaining members of the squad guarding the command center, had their blood turn cold while they heard the other two fire teams get killed in the medical section. Then the door into their section was thrust opened and a figure in black stepped in. it moved so fast that she could even see it as it took the first fire team in the hallway out. When she saw what that figure could do she turned around and ran. Sergeant Jones and the rest of the fire team were right behind her. They made it to the next section, which was engineering, when suddenly the radio turned on saying “All military personal in the first three sections of the train are to detach the command center and escape. The experimental weapons in the second section must not be capture. This is Lieutenant Colonel Howard speaking and that is an order!” Shocked the fire team watched as the engineers started the train up, leaving the command center and Lieutenant Colonel Howard. Turning back to take one last look at the command center Andreea saw something that made her faint. The figure in black looked right at her and it had the face of Nick Everett.
Nick quickly dispatched the first group of marines when he saw something that stopped him in his tracks. Andreea and Sam were still alive! They must have somehow gotten on the train! He was about to give chase when another group of marines started to fire at him making him forget, for the moment, about what he saw.
Nick had been right about to burst into the command center when he heard Lieutenant Colonel Howard’s last command.  He quickly sped into the command center but he was too late to stop the Lieutenants order. Mad with rage at having the experimental weapons slip through his fingers, Nick threw the lieutenant into the wall, knocking him unconscious. He ran to try and reach the next section of the train but he was too late. He only saw the fast disappearing shape of the train, running into the night.
John Westin made it through the medical section and into the firing range with no more difficulty. He then radioed the general and told him that his mission was complete. Looking around one last time to make sure that nothing was moving; he sat down and took a well-deserved nap.
